This exam was very challenging, comparatively to the other topics on ATI such as Med-Surg, pediatrics and more. Pharmacology is my weakest portion of the ATI topics and even through I did not improve my score from practice A I did feel more confident in my answers. I was very confident on in the safety aspects of medication and how to properly administer medication but when it came to specific teaching and side effects of medication I struggled. I knew many of the common medications and their adverse reactions but when it came to lesser used drugs I had a difficult time narrowing down answers. I took approximately one minute on each question and I think this is an adequate amount of time on each question I could take a little longer to ensure I read the question and all the answers carefully. I also took this exam in the library, which was very helpful to decrease distractions. After completing this examination, the three critical point remediations were very helpful. I enjoyed doing the three critical points because it allowed me to identify the key aspects of the medications I was unfamiliar about. These ATI exams and adaptive quizzes are very helpful for the NCLEX to ensure we get exposed to many different questions to help prepare for our future.
